Where relationships meet fertility care
We founded Branch Care around a simple yet powerful truth: great medicine happens in the context of relationships.
With fewer than 1,300 practicing fertility specialists nationwide struggling to meet the needs of the 17% of patients who need their care, we recognized a system at its breaking point.
Patients are forced to become their own care coordinators, navigating complex journeys to specialists often located hours away. Meanwhile, dedicated women’s health providers face mounting pressure—caught between wanting to support these patients and the reality of already overwhelming schedules and responsibilities.
We didn't just see a gap in care. We saw an opportunity for connection. Branch Care creates the bridge that has been missing: a collaborative care model where fertility specialists and women's health providers work together, reducing the burden on both while improving outcomes for patients.
Our founding team came together around a shared mission: to transform fertility care into an experience that honors both patients and the providers who care for them.
Our co-founders
Katie Jaxheimer Agarwal | CEO & Co-Founder
For Katie, this mission is deeply personal. After navigating the often all-encompassing journey of IVF to have both her children, she experienced firsthand how fragmented and isolating fertility treatment can be. Even finding and accessing support was not easy. Throughout this process, she wished her trusted OB/GYN relationship could have been the anchor in her care.
"I kept thinking—what if I could have started this journey with the doctor who already knew me, my history, and my values? What if we could create a model where that trusted relationship remains at the center, while providing the specialized support both patients and providers need?"
This question became the seed for Branch Care.
With experience as an operations leader at health tech pioneers Cedar and Maven Clinic, Katie brings a track record of scaling patient-centered solutions that actually make providers' lives easier, not harder. Katie holds an AB from Dartmouth College and MBA and MA in Education from Stanford University.
Eliza Wilson | Head of Product & Co-Founder
As a former community health worker at a Federally Qualified Health Center before her transition to tech, Eliza saw firsthand the impossible position providers face daily: needing to address complex patient needs while the clock ticks mercilessly on 10-15 minute appointments.
"I watched incredible doctors and nurses face the same dilemma every day—do I open up this conversation knowing I won't have time to address it fully? Do I refer out, knowing the patient might fall through the cracks? The system was failing both patients and the dedicated clinicians trying to help them."
Eliza observed how wraparound care could dramatically transform outcomes by handling what couldn't fit into those brief clinical encounters. At Branch Care, she's applying these insights to fertility care, designing solutions that extend providers' capabilities without extending their workday.
With product leadership experience at athenahealth and an AI medical triage startup, Eliza brings deep expertise in creating products that actually solve real clinical workflow challenges rather than creating new ones. She holds an AB from University of Chicago and is an alum of Reforge.
Jason Gomez | Medical Director & Co-Founder
Understanding the clinician perspective is core to our approach, and Jason brings that insight to everything we build.
When presented with the opportunity to help create Branch Care, Jason made the significant decision to defer his medical residency—recognizing an opportunity to impact care delivery at a systemic level.
"During my training and work at Alto Pharmacy, I saw how technology could either be a provider's greatest ally or their biggest frustration. Every solution we build at Branch has to pass a simple test: does this make a clinician's day better or worse? Does it let them focus more on medicine and less on administrative tasks?"
Jason was a key member of the incubating team for Branch Care as a Venture Fellow at AlleyCorp. His background in fertility care as an early team member at Alto Pharmacy, the leading provider of fertility specialty medications, gives him unique insight into the challenges facing both patients and providers. He holds an AB from Harvard College and a dual MD and MBA from Stanford University.
Bri Stuart | Director of Care Operations & Co-Founder
Bri has spent her career in the trenches of fertility care coordination, guiding over 1,000 patients through treatment cycles as an early patient navigator at Spring Fertility.
"I've seen the profound difference that skilled coordination makes—not just for patients, but for providers too. When doctors know their patients have comprehensive support between visits, they can focus on clinical care without worrying about all the other pieces falling apart."
Bri supported Spring Fertility's expansion from the Bay Area to NYC, building operational workflows that support patients and clinicians, rather than burdening them with additional tasks. At Branch Care, she's creating systems that extend the reach of OB/GYNs without extending their already stretched schedules.
She holds a BS in Psychology from Saint Mary's College of California.
Wendy Tsu | Co-Founder & Board Member
Wendy's journey with Branch Care began at the intersection of personal experience and professional insight. While investing at AlleyCorp, she faced her own challenges accessing quality fertility care outside major metropolitan centers, revealing the profound geographic disparities in reproductive healthcare.
"I saw firsthand how where you live can dramatically impact your fertility journey. At the same time, I was meeting incredible OB/GYNs who wanted to help their patients but lacked the infrastructure to provide comprehensive fertility support. The disconnect was striking."
Driven by this realization, Wendy set out to incubate a solution. She meticulously assembled Branch Care's founding team, seeking individuals who combined domain expertise with genuine empathy and commitment to clinical excellence.
With her Stanford MBA and experience across strategy, operations, and investing, Wendy brought the vision and resources needed to transform Branch Care from concept to reality. Her leadership on the Board continues to guide our mission of creating more equitable, accessible fertility care that respects the needs of providers while expanding options for patients..
